Our Story

Founded in 2020, Peppers & Pigs is a result of the pandemic. Kyle grew up on a 65 sow farrow-to-finish swine farm in southwest Ohio. His family also farmed corn, soybeans, tobacco, and chickens. Kyle wanted to provide his children an opportunity to thrive while the nation was locked down. His family increased the size of their garden and sold vegetables to the local community. A friend asked Kyle about raising a couple of hogs for freezer meat. Kyle stated, “If we raise two, we might as well raise 10 and sell the rest.” Ten turned into 25 the first year, 30 the second year, and 42 the third year. The company has now served over 100 freezer pig customers and is expanding. Peppers & Pigs now sells freezer pork, vegetable plants, fresh peppers, smoked pepper seasoning, lard candles, lard soap, tallow candles, tallow soap, beef marrow dog bones, pork trotter dog bones, and ground suet (for rendering tallow). Kyle even processes a limited number of deer and occasionally rents out his walk-in cooler room.

Our Mission

Kyle’s goal is to provide the best possible products to his customers and expand locally sourced commerce. P&P is committed to continuous improvement and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and practices.
